Karl Rickett, 64, of Clinton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 20, 1961, in Wooster, Ohio, to Larry Rickett and the late Donna Calderhead Rickett.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Collings Rickett, whom he married April 24, 2021; his father, Larry Rickett, and his wife, Cathy Rickett, of North Port, Florida; one stepdaughter, Lori Davis of Franklin, Indiana; three stepsons, Jason (Ashley) White of Bloomingdale, Chris (Alisha) White of Covington, and Jeremy (Kat Smail) White of Covington; one brother, Michael (Kristin Blakeman) Rickett of Mount Prospect, Illinois; one sister, Connie Stanley of Sunbury, Ohio; and two stepsisters, Laura Howe and Maureen Giblin.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Riley (Jared) Cederstrom, Rodney (Charity) Pittman, Ryan Wagner, Logan White, Elijah White, Vance Phelps, Weston White, Zoey White, Nora White, and Everett Richards; two nephews, Brandon French and Brent French; and four nieces, Erica French, Lauren Rickett, Meghan D’Acquisto, and Hannah Rickett.

Karl worked for over 30 years as an Instrument Technician at Eli Lilly, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. He was a graduate of Rockville High School and continued his education at Vincennes University, earning an associate degree in Robotics Technology.

Karl proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. He loved working on antique automobiles and participated in the Newport Hill Climb for over 50 years. Karl enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, live music, and especially spending time with his family. Supporting and encouraging his loved ones was always his focus in life. He was definitely a jokester who loved to make people laugh and was well known for his storytelling.

Services: 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 West Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Ben Hannum officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the Parke-Vermillion Humane Shelter, PO Box 293, Newport, IN 47933, in Karl’s memory.
