What a fantastic 2017 Rox Alumni 5K event we had this year raising $2,177.50 for the RHS Tennis Teams!
Timing MD was a fantastic addition for a professional run and the drone coverage of the run by Dean Brown & Lil Drone Friend was spectacular! Here’s the link for the aerial coverage: 2017 Rox Alumni 5K Run. The event was made possible by a record 31 sponsors and enthusiastic runners and walkers who traveled a course that included all Rox facilities!
This year we raised $2,177.50 to purchase a tennis hitting board (pictured below) and tennis supplies for the Rox Tennis Teams.

ROCKVILLE ALUMNI 5K EVENT DRAWS LARGE CROWD
Runners and walkers gathered at the court house square on a beautiful Saturday morning July 18th to participate in the first Rockville Alumni 5K Run/Walk event. Jeff Berry, the event organizer, charted a challenging 5K course from the court house square along High Street, to Billie Creek Village which had a couple of trying hills for the participants. 85 runners and walkers from Rockville and across the country participated in the event. 12 corporate sponsors provided event T-shirts and refreshments. Participants received prizes from a long list of gifts. Matthew Fulford, Shelburn, Indiana was the overall winner of the event with a winning time of 17:43 and Hanna Camden, Linton, Indiana took first place for women with a winning time of 24:24. The event raised over $1,500 for the Track & Cross Country Programs at Rockville High School.
This event takes place during the Rockville Alumni Week festivities. The race starts and finishes in beautiful downtown Rockville, home of the annual Parke County Covered Bridge Festival.
