Gary E. Husseman, 85, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was the retired owner of Rockville Trash Removal, with 27 years of service to the community. He was formerly employed by McKinney’s Auto Body Service and was manager of Mecca Auto Salvage for Max McKinney, with 16 years of service.

He was born November 30, 1940, in Colfax, Illinois to the late Clifford Husseman and Faye Hardt Husseman Farner.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jeanette Coleman Husseman, whom he married April 1, 1989, in Rockville; two daughters, Jennifer (J.R.) Arnett of Pendleton and Christina “Chrissy” Husseman Netherton of Rockville; two stepsons, Jim Rennick and Joe (Angie) Rennick, both of Linton; one stepdaughter, Kris (Evin) Chesterfield of Rockville; grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Trenton, Avrie, Hannah, Tim, Bree, K.J., Brittany, Haley, Hunter, Avery, Madi, Dawson, and Luke; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Farner, stepbrother, Dick Farner and brother Steven Farner.

He was a 1959 graduate of Rockville High School and served with the U.S. Marines. He was a member of American Legion Fellenzer Post 48 and AMVETS Post 61, both in Rockville, and the Montezuma Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with friends, snowmobiling, and spending many winters in Florida. Gary never knew a stranger and easily made friends wherever he went.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Kevin B. Jacks officiating. Burial will be in Beacon Hill Cemetery, south of Rockville, at a later date. Visitation is from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Gooch Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow services at 6:00 pm Saturday at the American Legion, 115 E. Ohio Street, Rockville.
