Sharon Stutler (Class of '53) passed away on August 4th, 2025 at the age of 90. She is survived by her son, Marc Walker (Clearwater, Florida) and her daughter, Lauren Walker (Milton, Florida). Her son, Eric had predeceased her by 8 years. She has 3 grandsons and a great granddaughter. After raising 3 children, she went back to school to pursue her dream of becoming an architect. Her career took her to Atlanta, Indianapolis and Dallas, and she was passionate about historic preservation. Among the projects she had a hand in designing were the Eli Lillly headquarters, a senior independent living facility in Atlanta and many other smaller projects. She championed a series of awards for architectural renovation and restoration in Punta Gorda, Florida. Despite being away from Parke County for much of her life, she always had plans to return some day. There will be a celebration of life on September 27th in Beechwood Park in Rockville at 11am.
