

Rosetta May Martin Stover passed away on March 1, 2024. She was a former Rockville resident. She was born June 14, 1927 in Parke County, daughter of David F. and Maude Collings Martin. On September 18, 1949, she married William A. Stover who preceded her in death on January 21, 1999.
She had worked at Indiana Bell Telephone Company, Indiana University, Indiana Gas and Water Company, H&R Block, and Sears in Castleton, retiring in 1989 after 18 years. Rosetta was a member of the Eastern Star of Rockville, member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vincennes, Indiana and past Treasurer and Secretary of Presbyterian Women’s Association. She was a member and volunteer at Oasis of Indianapolis, Noblesville Senior Citizens, and Lite n Lively Exercise Club.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents David and Maude Martin, her beloved husband of 49 years, William A. Stover, four sisters, Lela Green, Lorene Wirth Ellis, Mary L. Churchill, Waneta Overpeck, and a brother, Merl E. Martin.
Survivors include son, Richard A. Stover (Marie), and daughter Sandra L. Taylor (Rick), all of Noblesville; one sister, Judy Lafary of Riverton, Illinois; three grandchildren, Jenny Rodenberg (Eric), Jacqueline Stover, and Matt Stover (Sylvia); one step granddaughter, Amanda Rozzoni (Matt).
Private services were held at Leppert Mortuary – Indianapolis, Indiana.
Public visitation will be held at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St., Rockville, Indiana on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1 – 2 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM. Rosetta will be laid to rest privately next to her husband at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosetta’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
