Mr. Fisher was an amazing person. He didn't look at where you came from, or who your parents were in the community. Mr. Fisher looked at each student with the intention of learning just how to "teach" that student. He shared his wisdom, his time, and his heart with each student who cared to have it. You are sorely missed Mr. Fisher. I would never have made it through RHS without you! I loved you, Joyce Lewis

The first day I was in his class, Mr. Fisher announced to the class that he had taught both of my parents in high school. Then he went on to say that he hoped I wasn't as mischievious and ornery as my parents had been. I was totally embarassed and somewhat curious as to what he knew about my parents! Looking back, it must have made him feel a little old to know he was now teaching children of his former students. I remember our typing class only had 3 electric typewriters, the rest were manuals. We all couldn't wait to take our turns at the electric typewriter. How times have changed! I learned a lot from Mr. Fisher. I still practice nearly all of the skills he taught me way back then. I always looked forward to his classes - he made learning fun. But he never did reveal to me exactly what it was that my folks did that made them mischievious and ornery. He did tell me that if/when I pulled a stunt that my folks probably had already done it before me.

Mr. Fisher was one of the kindest teachers I have ever know. He never said an unkind word to anyone. He always looked at what he could do to help your future. I remember during Spirit Week, one of the days we were to dress as our favorite teacher and the teachers were to dress as their favorite student. I dressed as Mr. Fisher and when he went around the class asking us who we were to be, he told everyone that he chose me as his favorite student. I was very embarrassed, but honored. He had a love for life and music. How many remember him preforming with the high school band at our spring concert. He preformed "The Typewritter Song". What great man and teacher. I will always remember him.

One of my favorites. I greatly appreciated his kindness.
