Janet Sue Myers, 80, of Montezuma, Indiana passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, in her residence. 

She operated the Raccoon Lake Campground Store from 1989-2015. She also was the bookkeeper for the family farm. 

She was born February 24, 1944, in Cayuga, Indiana to the late Harold Malcolm Clark and Geneva Ione “Gene” Hursh Clark Burns. 

Her husband of 54 years, Joseph Luther Myers whom she married August 9, 1964, in Rockville, preceded her in death November 6, 2018. 

Survivors include one daughter, Angie (Michael) Dickey of Montezuma; two brothers, Steve (Carolyn) Clark of Avon and Bill (Mary) Clark of Rockville; one sister, Toni Povilaitis of Westville, Illinois; one brother in law, Jim Bowyer of Battleground; two sisters in law, Nellie Myers of Montezuma and Sandra Lacy of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Luther (Sarah) Mathas, Robin (Fiancé Ethan Pearman) Mathas, Elizabeth “EB” (Cole) Simmons, Sara Dickey and Caleb (Mallory) Dickey; seven great-grandchildren, Max, Presley and Vincent Mathas, Evie, Charlie and Conway Simmons, and Josiah Dickey; several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clifford Wayne Burns, daughter, Joni Mathas Stevens, brother Max Clark and sister, Marianne Bowyer. 

She attended school in Cayuga and graduated from Rockville High School in 1962. She was a member of the Montezuma Christian Church. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling and playing bunco. She ran for Parke County Treasurer in 1988. 

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 10, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Adam Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma. Visitation is 5-8 pm Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home.
