Don Phillips (1966)

Just got this sad news today. Hey old buddy, too many memories of our friendship from years ago to expound upon in this piece.  But, there is one that I will relate.  One hot summer day and I mean hot, we played 43 holes of golf at the Parke County golf course.  Just you and me, head to head.  We would have played more, but darkness got us.  We were so competitive in every sport in school.  It didn't matter what it was. Hell, if we would have played marbles, we would have been shootin to win every match. You were a good friend always.  I just wish over time, we could have stayed in touch.  I will keep up the traditiion of rooting on our old Alma Mater, Indiana State as well as  the other Indiana teams.  You RIP old friend.  Maybe we can shoot some hoops or play some golf again some day.  Who knows.  Your friend always.  DGP

Sad to hear this news. Steve was my neighbor on Maple Dr when we were in junior high. His mom and my mom were good friends.  Rest in peace Steve.
