Jim Carnine

James “Jim” Carnine, Jr., age 74, of Robards, KY, went home to be with the Lord at 4:22 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his home. 

Jim was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a maintenance technician for the City of Henderson Water Utility for 17 years. Jim loved fishing and woodworking. He was known as “Jigsaw Jim.”
Nothing was more important to Jim than his grandkids. He was crazy about them. He told his granddaughter once after she asked for something, “That’s why I go to work every day, so you and the boys and grandma can have anything you want.” 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Carnine, daughter Katrina Majors, grandson Justin Majors, and great-granddaughters Hayden and Ellianna Majors. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 24 years Nina Carnine of Robards, KY; daughter Crissy Brister of Madisonville, KY; son Bobby Shields of Henderson, KY; 2 grandchildren Brandon Majors and Maddie Brister,1 great-grandson Mabrey Pugh; 2 sisters; 1 brother. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Jim’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Brother Tony Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Debby Spencer (McKinney) (1967)

I remember Jim as a nice, quiet young man.  Rest in Peace.
