John & Kimba Knight VIEW PROFILE

Jack Knight, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, with his family by his side. Jack was born to John and Mary (Rudisel) Knight, on Sept.16, 1938, in Chicago. He was the oldest of four children.
Jack graduated from Wiley High School in 1956. He studied at Indiana State University before attending Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he received his doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1965. Jack also studied at Columbia University School of Dentistry in New York City. He was a resident of Terre Haute and later a resident of Rockville, where he practiced dentistry for 40 years. He also maintained a dental practice in Dana in the early 1970s. He retired in 2004 and moved to Fairfield Glade in Crossville, Tenn.
In his youth, Jack was a Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was involved in Golden Glove Boxing and was a member of DeMolay. Jack was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Social Fraternity, where he held the office of recruitment chairman. He later became a member of the Parke Masonic Lodge 8, the Scottish Rite, Elks, United States Power Squadron, National Rifle Association and was a member and past president of the Parke County Rotary. Jack also was a member and past president of the Parke County Board. He was a deacon at Central Presbyterian Church in Terre Haute. Dr. Knight helped many people by donating his dental skills to places such as Lee Allen Bryant Healthcare Facilities. He was a member of the Indiana Dental Association, the National Dental Association, Delta Dental Fraternity, and was a member and past president of the Western Indiana Dental Association.
Jack was enthusiastic about fishing, hunting, boating, and navigation. He also enjoyed playing poker, reading, woodworking, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Jack had a passion for traveling. He visited many countries around the world. Jack's meticulous nature and thirst for knowledge will always be remembered, as well as his lively personality and adventurous spirit.
Jack is survived by his wife, Kimba; his daughters, Kris Stinson and her husband Jon and Noelle Lee and her husband Jason; his granddaughter, Hadley Stinson and her fiancé Alex Eickhoff; and his grandson, Hudson Lee; stepchildren, Stephanie Northern and her husband Drew, John Scott and his wife Livia; stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Madison and Keegan Northern and Ian and Ella Scott. He also is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Swander and her husband Jim and June Shassere and her husband Bill; and his brother, David Knight and his wife Carolyn.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Rudisel) Knight; and his granddaughter, Carley Elise Stinson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute. KNIGHT, Kimba A. (Scott) (Whitesell) 76, Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Meadow Lakes Assisted Living in Mooresville. She was born on October 23, 1943 in Rosedale, Indiana to the late John Whitesell and Mary (Esherich) Whitesell. Kimba was a 1962 graduate of Rosedale High School in Rosedale, Indiana. She was an administrative assistant at the Rockville Training Center and later worked at the office of Dr. John D. Knight. Kimba retired in 2004 and moved to Fairfield Glade in Crossville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Kimba loved traveling, reading, quilting, and knitting.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Scott) Northern and husband Drew of Martinsville; her son, John Scott and wife Livia of Plainfield; her stepdaughters, Kris Stinson and her husband Jon and Noelle Lee and her husband Jason; grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Madison, and Keegan Northern; Ian and Ella Scott; her step grandchildren Hadley (Stinson) Eickhoff and husband Alex and Hudson Lee; step great-grandchild Rae Eickhoff. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Whitesell.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary (Esherich) Whitesell; her first husband Steven L. Scott; her husband John D. Knight and her step granddaughter, Carley Elise Stinson.
