Ara Scott Jones, 46, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phil and Jeannette Jones,  Robert
Ratcliff; and an uncle Kiery Ratcliff.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie; his mother, Anda Olsen of Charleston, SC; his father, Stephan Jones; 2 sons, Aiden Scott Jones and Cash Phillip Jones of Clinton; brothers, Kyle and Leif Olsen; sisters, Jama Olsen and Molly Jones; a grandmother, Betty Jo Ratcliff; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ara belonged to the Local #157 Pipefitters Union; the Clinton Half Century Club; the American Legion Post #140; and the First Christian Church.  He also held an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Ivy Tech.
He was a beloved husband and father.  He was a friend to all and a stranger to none.  When he would walk out the door, he would always say, “God Bless America!”
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 3 to 7:30 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Donna Hardesty officiating.  Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the  Cystic Fibrosis Association or any organization that supports veterans.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
