Nancy was my best friend, sister and bed partner. I will never think about her without remembering how sweet and loving she was and how much she loved babies....any baby, people, birds, puppies, colts, etc., etc., etc. But you'd better watch out! Don't make her mad! That tiny little girl had a temper and she could tell you off in an instant. Nope! Nobody ever walked on her. I will miss you Nancy until the day I join you, mom and dad again. At least I hope to be that lucky. I love you, Nance!

I think of Nancy all of the time. She was in my class at school. She was a good friend to so many classmates. She always had a positive outlook on life and was alot of fun.

I have many good memories of Nancy, but here are just a few:

I loved Nancy's sneeze... It was very distinctive! Everyone would giggle when she sneezed, but she was a good sport about it!!

I remember being at a party on Racoon Lake. ( I think it was Stephanie Moore's party-anyway) We were riding on a pontoon boat listening to music. The song came on I am Henry the 8th I am by Herman's Hermits. Nancy was singing as loud as she could!!! Of course now whenever I hear that oldie song I think of Nancy and smile!!!

We had some great times at slumber parties at Adams Farm. She was a gracious hostess.

On a more serious note, I remember a day in gym class. She was telling me about some upcoming surgery she was going to have. She was very courageous!! Although she missed some school and had to recover lying on her back she kept her good sweet personality. Several of us went to visit her and she had some special glasses that helped her see more of the room.

Nancy, I do think of you all of the time... When I sse your brother or sister, I always try to tell them that I will NEVER forget you!!!! Love you!! Marilyn Heifner McDonough

I remember Nancy having a slumber party and all of us singing to records and having a good time. I had a birthday party and she could not come because of her back so after the party my Dad took me out to her house and we brought her some cake she was so happy that we came. I remember Debby Martin and I went out to Nancy's house to practice cheers, Nancy always wanted to be a cheerleader we had a lot of fun that day laughing and making up some really stupid cheers. Every once in a while a song will come on the radio and I think of those days. Love you and miss you.

Please let me add my name to the ones who remember Nancy fondly. During my middle school years ('61 through'64), her older brother Bill would always have a bunch of his '68 pals out to stay all night either at their house or camping out in the hills and woods of the Adams Farm property. I went as often as I could, and always enjoyed myself. Joe, Susie, and Bill were all great kids and Nancy was exceptionally so! Life had dealt her some pretty rough cards to play with, but you'd never know that by her actions. She was truly a "sweetie" and had the greatest outlook on life! Friendly, goofy (fun), happy...she was all of these. As always seems to happen after you graduate, I lost track of her after 1968 passed, and I regret that, because she was a great person and inspiration. I admire her courage and outlook on life, and hope I'm a better person for following some of the life traits I learned from her. Whadda girl!

Nancy was a great friend and one who has been missed very much.  I remember one time she, Barbi Wimmer and I all went shopping and we found these neat purses.  We all liked them so we each bought one and gave them to each other!  At school we proudly paraded around with our matching purses that were gifts from our friends!  Nancy had a smile for everyone!  With all that she had to go through, she was happy.  I remember her dancing at school dances.  She had a dance technique that was unique!  This year our class celebrates 40 Years since graduation.  Nancy will be a part of our evening, in our minds and hearts!  Love you Nancy!
