Eleanor Pinegar (Lewis)

ROCKVILLE- Eleanor Lewis, 85, of Rockville, Indiana died at 8:12 am Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.

She was retired from Coopers Laundromat, G&M Variety and G.C. Murphy Company all in Rockville.

She was born December 31, 1930 in Rockville to the late Ralph Owen Pinegar and Blanche Ethel Kirkham Pinegar. Her husband of 22 years, Parke William Lewis whom she married March 29, 1958 died June 1, 1980.

Survivors include one son, Rick (Debbie) Lewis of McDonald, Ohio; two daughters, Mary (Mark) Bord of Berea, Kentucky and Rhonda (Gary) Bacon of Crawfordsville; one brother, Billy Pinegar of Tipton, Iowa; one sister, Patty Overpeck of Rockville; four granddaughters, Amanda Lewis of McDonald, Ohio, Kayla Bacon of Crawfordsville, Tara Bord of Berea, Kentucky and Cassi Bacon of Crawfordsville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Ralph Pinegar, two sisters, Dorothy Ryder and Mildred Smith.

She was a 1949 graduate of Rockville High School. She was a member of Rockville Christian Church and the Friendship Sunday School class.

Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 31, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Don Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home.
