ROCKVILLE- Jeanetta "Jean" Scott, 91, of Elkhart, Indiana and formerly of Rockville died at 6:35 pm Friday, July 15, 2011 in Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa, Indiana.
She was an office employee for the Town of Rockville and was a housemother for Chi Omega Sorority at Purdue.
She was born March 26, 1920 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Guy Cornthwaite and Odetta Smart Cornthwaite.
She was a 1938 graduate of Rockville High School and Terre Haute Commercial College. She was a member of the Rockville First United Methodist Church and an associate of Gamma Sigma Chapter of Rockville Tri-Kappa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell L. Scott, Class of 40 on April 18, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Rounds, Class of 66 of Elkhart, Indiana and Julie Hobson, Class of 78 of Crawfordsville, Indiana; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by a son Steve L. Scott, Class of 60 in 1982.
Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 19, in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. Visitation is from 4-8 pm on Monday at Gooch Funeral Home.
