He drove the bus for Rockville for 32 years and was highly respected by all of those who rode his bus. Even those who had to sit on the front row often, soon learned that he meant business and learned to respect him. On the last day of school each year, he would take his bus to the Dairy Frost and let them buy some "goodie", or he would give each of them a large candy bar with a $1 bill taped to it.
