My brother Joe passed away at 2:.25 PDT today, November 6, 2010 from cancer. His funeral will be Saturday November 13, 2010 at the Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Seattle. I will pass along an obituary when I receive one. Ramona and I will be attending the funeral service.

Joe was a retired insurance broker and lived in Seattle Washington.  He served in the U.S. Navy and married Jane Davis on November 26, 1944.  He has 2 daughters: Pamela W. Burpee & Priscilla D. Woodard.

President Owners Ass'n., Kahana Sunset, Maui,HI.
Owned Insurance Brokerage for 35 years, and sold
business & retired in Nov., 1990.

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother, Joseph W. Hall, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Saturday Nov. 6, 2010. Joe, who was 86, is survived by his loving wife, Jane, and his daughters, Pam (husband, Dennis) and Priscilla, (husband, Paul), and his five grandchildren and their spouses, and his 12 great grandchildren. He is survived by his last brother Hubert, of Corpus Christi, Texas. Joe was born on April 25th, 1924 in Clinton, Indiana and served in the US Navy during WWII. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1947 and taught Science at Howe Military School. He married the love of his life, Jane, in 1944 and they were fortunate enough to celebrate 66 wonderful years together this November. He moved to Seattle in 1949 where he formed a very successful insurance brokerage company that he owned for over 35 years until his retirement in Nov. 1990.

Joe, and his wife, loved to travel and they spent many happy hours together exploring the sights and cultures of the world. He loved life and his family. He was an avid fisherman (who caught many salmon and a 265 lb halibut), golfer (who never had a hole in one), and gardener. Additionally, Joe devoted much time to his community. Specifically, he was: Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Plymouth Congregational Church, President of Kahana Sunset Owners Association, an Officer in the local Habitat for Humanity and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks, and the Seattle Poggie club. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Habitat for Humanity or Providence Hospice of Seattle.

The memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church on Saturday, 13 November, 2010 at 11:00AM.
