VEEDERSBURG-Cliston Leon Coverdale, 85, of Veedersburg, Indiana passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 in his residence. 

He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company in Crawfordsville with 41 ½ years of service. He was also a Pastor for 10 years with the Apostolic Church in Veedersburg and Mellot. 

He was born December 13, 1935 in Kingman, Indiana to the late Leon D. Coverdale and Ruby May Bonebrake Coverdale. 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lois Keller Coverdale whom he married June 2, 1956 in Judson; also surviving, his children, Deborah (Dale) Linville of Kentland, Rodger (Susie) Coverdale of Monticello, Rebecca (Terry) Lovins of Port Charlotte, Florida and Rhonda Coverdale of Veedersburg; one sister, Shielda (Mike) Aikman of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Leonard-Teague. 

He was a 1953 graduate of Rockville High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a Board Member and Elder of New Life Fellowship Church in Terre Haute and member of United Pentecostal Church International. He was a talented artist and enjoyed spending time with family. 

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 6, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main Street in Rosedale with Pastor Jeffrey Harpole officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 noon until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
