Wanda L. Nelson, 72 of Rockville died 3:15 am Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at The Waters of Clinton in Clinton. She was veterinarian assistant and was employed with six veterinarians in Florida. She was born October 26, 1936 in Rockville to the late Luther Jerome and Beatrice McCalister Jerome. Her husband of forty-seven years, William Nelson, whom she married in Elkhart 1949, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Marla Nelson of Rockville, Sandra Thompson and her husband Samuel of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirley Starr. She resided in Florida for fifty years and returned home along with her sister to retire in Rockville. She was a member of the Rockville First United Methodist church. She enjoyed many crafts and was an avid knitter. Cremation was chosen and entrusted to Gooch Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be at a later date in Bay Pine Cemetery in Seminole, FL alongside her husband.
