Rosemary Bullock (Jackman)

BRAZIL- Rosemary Frances Jackman, 82, of Brazil, Indiana and formerly of Bridgeton, Indiana went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:10 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute. 

She was a retired registered nurse for the former Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton retiring in 1995 with 42 years of service. 

She was born July 8, 1930 in Bloomingdale, Indiana to the late Myron Bullock and Muriel Borders Bullock Swaim. 

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Clay Swaim. 

Her husband of 57 years, Fred Jackman, Jr. whom she married November 18, 1950 died November 26, 2007. 

Survivors include one son, Todd (Lorrie) Jackman of Bridgeton, Indiana; three daughters, Marcia (Tim) Sherman of Austin, Texas, Melanie (Alan Neal) Boyd of Brazil, Indiana and Melinda Helton of Brazil, Indiana; two half brothers, Jim (Keitha) Swaim of Burnsville, North Carolina and Roy (Nellie) Bullock of West Monroe, Louisiana; one step brother, Don (Evelyn) Swaim of Rockville, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Scott, Brad (Robin) Hiland, Anna (Michael) Kupidlowski, Aaron (Christa) Sherman, Adrianne Sherman, Catie Helton, Casey (Aly) Helton, Christina Helton and Ryan Jackman; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

She was a 1948 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1951 graduate of Methodist Hospital's College of Nursing at Indianapolis. In 1993 she was named Vermillion County Hospital nurse of the year. She was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church and attended the Community Missionary Church of Brazil. 

Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 29, in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home at 287 N. Main Street, Rosedale with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Run Cemetery at Bridgeton. Visitation is 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Saturday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
