James D. Deputy JR., 79, of Rockville, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, January 18, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospice of Indianapolis. James was born September 30, 1936 in North Little Rock, AR.,son of James D. Deputy Sr. and Carnell C. Nelson Deputy, both parents preceded him. They moved to Rockville in his early years, he graduated from Rockville High School in 1955. Jim attended Purdue University for two years and enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Germany.  Jim retired from Paper Systems Inc. of Springboro, Ohio. He had attended Rockville Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling, golf,and playing cards with friends.  James is survived by one son, James Deputy III of Indianapolis.

Funeral Service will be 1pm, Friday, January 22 in Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College St, Rockville, IN. with Pastor Gary Jones officiating. Visitation begins at 11 am prior to Service. Private burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorials to honor James memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 1250 South, U S 41, Rockville. Envelopes will be available in Funeral Home.
