David A. Marlar, 53, of Rockville died 5:05 am Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton. He was a laborer. 

He was born April 22, 1956 in Clinton, Indiana to Ivan Alton "Ike" Marlar and Donath Bryant Marlar. 

He is survived by his mother, Donath Marlar of Rockville; two brothers, Vernon Marlar of Tavares, FL, Dwayne "Shorty" Marlar of Rockville; two sisters, Denzel Marlar of Mansfield, IN and Denise Cuffle of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews. 

He attended New Bethel Community Church. He was a Rockville High School Graduate. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. 

Services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 5, 2009 at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St., Rockville with Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will follow services in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Catlin, Indiana. Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Gooch Funeral Home.
