Connie Joyce Buchanan, 50, died March 13, 2009, at her home. She was born in Clinton, Ind., and lived in Jensen Beach for 25 years, coming from Rockville, Ind. Survivors include her father, Harold Koenig of Jensen Beach; fiance, Dale Lenard of Stuart; son, Connor Buchanan of Jensen Beach; daughter, Ann-marie Buchanan of Jensen Beach; sister, Penny Williams of South Bend, Ind.; and brother, Keith Koenig of Terre Haute, Ind. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Koenig. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. March 17 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.

Keith Koenig (1972)
Connie had been fighting breast cancer for nearly 5 years. In November of 2008, her Dr's told her that the cancer had spread to her brain and spinal cord, giving her 3 to 6 months to live. She hardly ever complained, trying to go about her remaining days as normal as possible. Connie was a fighter, yet was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. Connie passed away, peacefully in the afternoon on Friday March 13th, 2009. Connie leaves behind 2 children, Connor and Annmarie, ages 15 and 12 respectively. My Mom passed away at age 70 in April of 2003 from complications after a massive cardiac arrest. I'm glad that my Mom didn't have to watch Connie go thru her illness. My Dad, my other sister Penny and I will miss her immensely. I know that my Mom and Connie are in heaven watching over our family.Rest in peace sweetie!
