Linda Gail Hofmann, 76, of Granbury, Texas passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017. Service: 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2017, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury. Graveside service: 9:15 AM, Friday, November 3, 2017, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Linda was born on March 13, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Forrest and Ruth Harney. She was the percussion bandleader and homecoming queen in High School. She married Bill Hofmann on September 15, 1962 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Together they worked on the farm for 11 years.

Linda was a wonderful homestyle cook, who liked to have family meals together. Most of all she was the greatest mother in the world.

Linda played the piano and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Granbury. One of her favorite pieces was Chopin’s minute waltz. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Jeffrey Hofmann.

Linda is survived by her husband: Bill Hofmann, daughter: Kristi Shelton of Bedford, son: Barry Hofmann and fiancé May Quach of Arlington, grandsons: Clifford Dale Shelton, Jr. and Timmy Hofmann, granddaughter: Taylor Nicole Shelton, brother: Larry Harney and wife Barbara, aunt: Martha J. Lang, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
