ROCKVILLE- William H. Clontz, 69, of Rockville died at 12:50 am Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Rockville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was owner of Clontz & Son Heating & Cooling.
He was born April 12, 1942 in Gary, Indiana to the late Lusk "Lee" Clontz and Irene Duty Sprindler Clontz.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Betty J. Clontz whom he married July 27, 1985 Merritt Island, Florida.
Other survivors include one son, William L. (Linda) Clontz of Coatesville, Indiana; one step-son, Brandon Viavant of Cary, North Carolina; one sister, Barbara Taylor Clodfelter and husband Dave Clodfelter of Rockville, Indiana; one granddaughter, Brittani Clontz; one great-granddaughter, Melanie Clontz.
He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a 1960 graduate of Rockville High School. He enjoyed woodworking, remote control airplanes, motorcycles and could fix anything and everything. He was a great teacher and loved working with his hands.
A memorial service will be 6:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 West Howard Street, Rockville with Pastor J. Daeschner officiating.
Memorial visitation is from 4-6 pm Thursday at Gooch Funeral Home.
