Larry Dean Cooper, 87, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Clinton Gardens in Clinton. Born February 10, 1940, he was the son of Merle Cooper and Nellie Kent Cooper. He married Phyllis Ann Fisher in 1962 in Rockville. She preceded him in death May 27, 2018.  

Larry graduated from Rockville High School in 1958. He was an over-the-road truck driver for Strasburger Trucking for 30 years. 

He is survived by 3 sons, Jeffery Cooper, Roger (Janet) Cooper, and Michael (Amber) Cooper, all of Rockville; a daughter, Kim (Mitch) Laughlin of Bloomingdale; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Steve Cooper of Oregon, and sister, Vickie Jo Jeffries of Denver, Colorado. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Phyllis. 

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Beacon Hill Cemetery, U.S. 41 south of Rockville. Cremation has been chosen with inurnment at Beacon Hill Cemetery. Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville assisted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at barnesandrice.com

Mary Catherine Barnes (Overpeck) (1958)

Larry was one of the good guys.  He was a good student in high school and a hard worker.  I haven't heard about Larry until now and I always wondered what became of him.  Be very proud of your father because he was a good person.
