CLINTON — Julie Branson, 56, of Judson, Ind. passed away at 6:05 p.m. Aug. 4, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1955, in Clinton, Ind. to Leighton Phillips and Jean Phillips Phillips.

 She married Benny M. Branson on Oct. 4, 1975, at the Judson Baptist Church.

 Survivors include her husband, Benny Branson of Judson; one son, Benjamin Josh Branson and wife Amanda of Rockville, Ind.; two grandchildren, Lucas and Phoebe Branson of Rockville.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Ben Branson.

 She was a member of Rockville Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was the church organist for 22 years, worked at Raccoon State Recreational Area and was a gardener, good cook and friend to all.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home in Rockville with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Hollandsburg, Ind.

In high school,Julie was my friend.I am sorry we did not keep in touch after graduation,and I am saddened by her passing. Lori Meschen Fries

Marilyn Garrett (Poland) (1973)

For ten years we lived up the hill from Julie, and her family. She became my best friend.We moved to Bridgeton and we got together as often as we could. I miss her very much. She was a great friend.
