 Frances Kent Schrader, Rockville High School-Class of 1932

Born in Parke County, Rockville, IN on Dec. 7, 1914
Departed on Mar. 22, 2010 and resided in Rockville, IN.

ROCKVILLE- Frances (Kent) Schrader, 95, died at 10:20 am Monday, March 22, 2010 at Rockville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rockville.

She was born on December 7, 1914, in Parke County, Rockville, Indiana to Shelby and Grace Burns Kent. On April 16th 1942 she married Wilbur Eugene "Gene" Schrader in Newport Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years who died October 8, 2002 at the age of 90.

She graduated from Rockville High School in 1932 and was the last surviving member of her graduating class. She lived on the east side of Rockville (Spunky Point) all her life and was a proud member of the Democratic Party.

Frances worked for the Child Adult Resource Services in Rockville where she served as Activities Director from 1966 to 1970; she owned and operated "Kiddie Kollege" Day Care Facility in Rockville which also served as Rockville's first "Head Start" center. Frances worked for the Ball Nursing Home as Activities Director for 14 years until her retirement at the age of 73.

Frances is survived by her son and his wife Gregg Kent and Debra, Fort Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Aaron (Veronica) Schrader, Greenwood, Indiana, Brett (JR) Haviland, Parke County, Indiana; and her Great-Grandchildren, Ava, Evan, Grant, Nieva Schrader and Miles and Owen Haviland. She is further survived by her sister Pauline Kent of Rockville. She was preceded in death by siblings Florence Kent, Hazel Barr, Darrel Kent, Louise Riddle, Harold Kent, Dorothy Frazier and Paul Kent.

Funeral services for Frances Schrader will be conducted by the Gooch Funeral Home in Rockville.
Visitation: Tuesday March 23rd 1:00-2:00pm
Services and burial will be held in Memory Garden Cemetery on March 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Rockville with Reverend Don Hatfield Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at graveside.
