Mr. John Warren Hobson, age 71 of rural Hutsonville, IL passed away unexpectedly at his residence on March 30, 2023 at 05:29 PM.

John was born on November 19, 1951 in Clinton, IN to John and Velma (Barker) Hobson. He married Kimberly “Kim” (Ball) Hobson and she survives. John was a retired Pipe Fitter and member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 157, Terre Haute, IN, with 50 years of service. Mr. Hobson worked his last years, before retirement, at the Marathon Refinery in Robinson, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Hobson, Hutsonville, IL; a son, Michael Hobson, Oaktown, IL, a daughter, Kenzie Hobson, Montezuma, IN; grandchildren, Kaleb Hobson, Skylar Ruark, Kristen Wood, Jordan Wood, Macee, Malee and Maxton McElroy, Mason, Miles and Ella Pool, Devon Lowe, Maddie Orman, Jaiden and Jaclyn Allen; step daughter, Janice Pool of Georgia, step daughter Kylie Vanderhyden of Rockville, IN and step-daughter Brandie and Josh Ruark, Danville, IN.

There will be a Celebration of Life service held at the family’s home, 16781 N. 1600th St., Hutsonville, IL on May 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Please call 618-559-3174 for directions.
