Bob White

CRAWFORDSVILLE-Robert A. White, 74, of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. 

He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville with 35 years of service. 

He was born February 16, 1944 in Rockville, Indiana to the late Edward White and Mary Katherine Butler White. 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Nevins White whom he married January 18, 1964 in Fontanet. Also surviving, one son, Bob (Cindy) White of Richmond; two sisters-in-law, Karen White and Vera White both of Rockville; one grandson, Eric White of Muncie; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack White and Ronald “Mac” White. 

He was a 1962 graduate of Rockville High School. He also worked part time as a reserve deputy for the Parke County Sheriff’s Department. After retirement he was a ranger for Shades State Park and a tour bus driver for Waveland Coach. He also drove for Hertz car rental. He served as a district director for National Campers and Hikers Association. He was a NASCAR fan attending many Daytona 500 mile races. He loved to travel enjoying many winters in Florida. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and attending the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. 

Services will be 11:00 am Monday, December 3, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Dale Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Terre Haute. Visitation is 2-6 pm Sunday at Gooch Funeral Home.
