ROCKVILLE-Thomas Howard Spurr, 75, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 11:05 am Monday, March 15, 2021 at his residence. He was a retired Journeyman Pressman for R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville with 46 years of service. He was born September 14, 1945 in Rosedale, Indiana to the late Lester Spurr and Nona Miller Spurr.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Peggy Lee Tomlin Spurr whom he married September 6, 1969 in Rockville; also surviving, three children, Christy (Jason) Mitchell of Hillsboro, Misty Stewart of Rockville and Thomas E. Spurr of Rockville; three siblings, Lois (Cliston) Coverdale of Veedersburg, Beverly Sue (Dan) Harney of Rockville and Richard Spurr of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Desirea, Katrina, Bayli, Cody, Mekella, Ryan and Karlee; three great-grandchildren, Addilynn, Elayna and Adaya; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Kenny Spurr.

He was a 1963 graduate of Rockville High School. He served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of AMETS Post 61, Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Taylor Post 1752 and former member of American Legion Fellenzer post 48 ,Rockville Elk’s Lodge 2471 and the Rockville First Baptist Church. He was active with the Honor Guard participating in military funeral honors for our Parke County veterans. He was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding the birds and spending time with his family. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
