Robert Wayne Porter, 77, of Coatesville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023.

He was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Rockville, Ind., to Charles and Doris (Philabaum) Porter.

He enjoyed going fishing, golfing, bowling and was famous for his Fireball Fridays. Mostly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Porter; children Tim (Judy) Porter of New Castle, and Tricia (Josh) Abdon of Coatesville; grandchildren Nicholas (Emily) Remsburg of Monrovia, Jayden (Kendra) Remsburg of Bloomington, Nolan Remsburg of Franklin, Haley Abdon of Aspen, Colorado, Olivia (Cameron) Egler of Greenfield, Jarred Porter of Indianapolis, Sara Roberts of Jeffersonville, Robert Porter of Muncie and Chase Abdon of Coatesville; great-grandchildren Madison Remsburg of Monrovia and Andrew Remsburg of Monrovia; sister Deb Martin; sister-in-law Jackie (Rick) Robinson of Greencastle; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris Porter; mother-in-law and father-in-law Russell and Elizabeth Cagle; daughter Tamara Ann (Porter) Remsburg; and grandson Taylor Evan Roberts.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 1-5 p.m. at the Heritage Lake Clubhouse, 8915 E. County Road 400 North, Coatesville.
