Alan Wayne Massey, 78, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Methodist Hospital.
Alan was born February 2, 1945, the son of Herschel and Ruby (Seward) Massey at Putnam County Hospital.
Mr. Massey was an implement dealer for over 40 years in the Tipton & Michigantown area. He was also a passionate life-long farmer. Alan was a 65 year member of the Beech Grove Church. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, driving his antique cars and tractors.
On Dec. 8, 2021, Alan wedded his loving wife, Sharon Massey, whom he has known since childhood. Their initial encounter dates back to when they were 14 years old, and they have shared the journey of the past 20 years together.
Survived by his wife Sharon Massey; stepchildren including Shannon Clodfelter; Sheryl Gray (Al); Gregory Clodfelter (Jennifer); several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Ruby Massey.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mike & I are so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Alan, Karon, & I were 1st cousins & very close as kids. Over our adult years we haven't seen each other as often because of where we all live, but he was a great guy. We will miss him, & were so happy when he and Sharon got married a couple of years ago. He set Mike & I up on a blind date back in 1965, & we have been married for 57+ years. He also set Karon & Ron up on a blind date, & they have been married 49+ years. Love you, Alan. RIP
