Duncan Snowden (1966)

I remember when "Billy" first arrived in Rockville. His parents lived behind us and he and I used to get into all sorts of mischief. He was always up for an adventure and not afraid to try anything. I'm sure we drove his sisters nuts.

He and I used to tag along when his parents went square dancing. I guess they hoped he and I would join in, but we spent most of our time trying to steal soft drinks from the refreshment stand.

He had the quickest wit and a sly sense of humor. My favorite story was when Mr. Savio threatened to kick him out of Biology class for interrupting his lecture on Color Blindness. Without missing a beat Billy said "Oh, I was just telling Duncan here how I was color blind." Mr. Savio seemed to buy the story and let him off. Of course, Billy was NOT color blind, he was just goofing off and getting away with it.

It's hard to imagine that he ever grew up, and harder still to think that he has passed on from this world. We're all missing a lot of laughs without him.

Wilfred Henseler (1960)

I was married to Bill's sister, Phyllis. One fantastic brother-in-law.
