Gayla Bradfield (1966)

Due to our last names, "Boardman" and "Bradfield," I remember that Mike often occupied the desk immediately in front of me in grade school. Our papers were usually passed backwards to the student behind when we did classroom style grading, so I was tasked with "grading" many of his papers.  He was always very respectful to me, and I remember him as a "good guy."  I am sorry to hear of his passing, and offer my sincere sympathy to all his family.

When I think of MIke, I picture him in his FFA jacket.  He was a dedicated member of that organization. I was so jealous of him (and other Future Farmers) that I didn"t have the right to wear such a cool garment.

That feeling was re-kindled recently when my wife and I were staying at a hotel that was also hosting the national FFA convention and almost everyone but me was outfitted in that snappy jacket.  Naturally, I thought of Mike and the other Future Farmers at RHS.

My condolences to Mike's family, I know he will be missed.
