Survived By: Son: Larry F. Cummings of Crawfordsville and three grandchildren.
Susie was my second cousin by marriage. She was married to John Cummings who was part owner of Cummings and Flock Implements. John's mother (Nell) was my grandmother's (Leta Elinich Strickler) sister. I remember Susie fondly and was lucky enough to be in one of her English Lit. classes.

Mary Catherine Barnes (Overpeck) (1958)
I LEARNED MORE FROM SUSIE CUMMINGS THAN ANY TEN TEACHERS. I AND ALL MY CLASSMATES RESPECTED HER. WHEN OUR CLASSMATE, CAROLE WIMMER PASSED AWAY. SUSIE READ THE BIBLE TO US IN ENGLISH CLASS. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF MY WHOLE SCHOOL LIFE. SHE WAS A QUIET LADY BUT COULD CRACK A WHIP IF NEED BE.
