One of my favorite teachers. The only thing I loved more than his class was watching him play basketball - priceless!

I LOVED Mr. Savio!!!! He picked on me continuously. Once in Biology he reached across he tall desk with his pointer and intended to scare me by swinging it at my face...He actually cracked me right across the bridge of my nose!!! Naturally my eyes watered and watered and it was quite a shock. He immediately put his pointer down and walked out of the room. Mr. Trueblood later told me that he came into the teacher's lounge and stated that they were not going to believe what he just did!! I tried to act like I was really hurt and he was oh so apologetic!! We all had a big laugh at his expense and mine too! LOL

I have great memories of Mr. Savio. We used to call him "The Chief" and would sing "Hail to the Chief" when he came into the room. He found great humor in it all! He was one of my favorite teachers.

My all time favorite Savio story. We had Biology right after
lunch and many times I would get to class early not sure why. So I would go up to Savy and start in on him with the BS. This one day I said Savy what did you do for lunch you smell like Lucky Strike cigarettes and cheap liquor. He looks up and says do you think I have the patience to teach a Pizano like you sober? It goes down in my book as one of the best come backs ever.

Yes, Mr Savio was one of my favorite teachers also.  He picked on me just as much as I picked on him.  He had a great sense of humor and for some reason he called me "Motor Mouth!!!!" Imagine that!!!!!
