I REMEMBER WHEN ED CAME TO ROCKVILLE TO STUDENT TEACH. HE WAS UNDER FRED HOLMES. ED TAUGHT US TYPING AND SHORTHAND. WHEN I MOVED TO DANA, HIS MOTHER LIVED A COUPLE OF BLOCKS FROM US AND WENT TO OUR CHURCH. I TALKED TO HER OFTEN. SHE WAS SO PROUD OF ED AND MARLENE.WE VACATIONED AT LAKE SHAFER EVERY SUMMER AND ONE DAY I WAS OUT IN OUR BOAT WITH SOME GIRL FRIENDS AND ED AND MARLENE WENT CRUISING BY IN THEIR BOAT. WE ALL HAD A CRUSH ON ED. MARLENE NEVER DID KNOW THAT. ED WAS A GOOD FRIENDS AS WELL AS OUR TEACHER.

Mr Scott taught me how to play basketball the right way. I remember the early morning practices in the winter. Like 6:00 AM. He was tough, but fair. I will never forget the pick and roll he taught us. I thought a lot of him. He was my neighbor for a while on Stark Street. He was also my Track and Fied coach and he pushed us to our limits. He was a great cosch.
