Larry Sowers - Class Of 1967 VIEW PROFILE

Larry Dean Sowers, 69, of Ladoga, passed away on July 30, 2018 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was born on August 2, 1948 to the late Claude and Mary (Davis) Sowers in Mecca, Indiana.

Larry was a 1967 graduate of Rockville High School.  He proudly served our country in the United States Army, he then worked as a Co-op tire changer, delivered diesel and gas, and spent time working at both Walmart and Petro.  He was a member of the County Line Fishing Club, Clinton VFW, and New Ross Conservation Club. Larry chose to be an organ donor and will help many even though he is gone. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing, taking trips in his canoe, and his special dog “Buddy”.

He is survived by his children; Mary Beth Leister, Eric Kanizer, Michael Paul Dicks, sister, Linda (Dewey) Whalen, special niece, Claudine Lowery, special nephews, James (Danielle) Lowery, and their children, Levi, Kaylee, Kaitlynn, Kristian, and Jaylynn, Danney (Kim) Lowery, and their children, Jocelyn Lowery, LJ, and Adam, two special friends, Collin Trent and Sadie Trent.

He was preceded in death by; parents, siblings, Earl Sowers, Margaret Sowers Presley and Claude Sowers, “Jr”, and great nephew, Wesley Gage Lowery.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street, Ladoga, IN, with Pastor Joe Lovell officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials in Larry’s honor may be directed to the family.
