Beverley Sue Harney, 74, of Rockville, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her residence. Born November 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Nona Spurr.

Her husband of 53 years, Danny L. Harney, whom she married on September 21, 1968, survives. Also surviving is her daughter Beth Ann Simpson of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Dalton Wood (Stacia Stewart) of Rockville, Dusty Simpson of Rockville, and Brelyn Simpson of Crawfordsville; one great-grandchild; a brother, Richard Spurr of Maryland; several nieces and nephews; and good friend and sister-in-law, Beverly Sue Moore.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Melvin, and Kenneth Spurr. Her sister, Lois Coverdale passed away on January 29, 2022.

She was a graduate of Rockville High School and a member of Faith Bible Church in Rockville. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, craft making, sewing, and time with her family.

A private burial was performed on December 20, 2021, at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville with Marta Adubato officiating. Care has been entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesandrice.com.
