Sandra Sue Martin (Engle)

Sue Engle of Rockville passed away May 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born on December 12, 1947 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Robert Paul and Gradie Martin.

She is survived by her husband Charlie Engle, whom she married March 8, 1969; Her children, Alisa Exline (Jose) of Panama City, Panama, Marty (Chris) Engle of Bellmore and step son Tom (Gail) Engle of Virginia; Her kids, JR (Amy) Hill ; Brian and Charlotte Tucker; her grandchildren, CJ Engle, Jessica Caldwell, Katie Hill, Marcus (Jessica) Engle, Joshua (Shelby) Hill, Joseph (Lacey) Tucker, Brook Engle, Tiara Witty, Tyler Engle, Alexis Fultz, Abbi Fultz, Ashli Fultz, Matthew Hill, Brian Tucker jr. and Cd Engle. She also has seven great grandchildren. 
Her siblings: Kay Foxworthy, Laura (Orville) Dickey, Connie Griffin, Janet (Ron) Cannon, Jackie Earnhart and Larry Dean (Paula) Martin; sister in Law, Sally Ann Swift; brother in law, Tom Engle; several nieces and nephews. Sue was loved by many friends that she considered family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother Dennis "Doc" Martin and step daughter Sandra "Schotize" Hill. 

Sue was a 1965 graduate of Rockville High School and worked for the West Central Veterinary (Rockville) for more than 35 years, where her love and care for animals shared with many.

Sue was famous for her Cinnamon Rolls, Rock Candy and Candy Apples. Sue looked forward to October every year when she could participate in the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. Sue was at her happiest when she was cooking and feeding her family and loved ones. 

Services will be 11:00 am Monday, May 23, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 West Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Nathan Couch and Rev. David Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Mariah cemetery in Hollandsburg. Visitation is from 4-8pm Sunday, May 22 at Gooch Funeral Home.
