My uncle Farrell Fisher Havey was born Dec. 2, 1896 on the family farm
about three miles southwest of Rockville in an area known as the "Fisher
Neighborhood". His parents were John Havey and Emily A. Havey (Fisher).
After graduating RHS in 1914 he entered and graduated from Wabash College in 1918 with a BS degree in chemistry. I am unsure of the year but he later earned his MS degree in
chemistry from Purdue University. The city directory of 1923 Indianapolis shows him working for the Indiana State Highway Commission as a chemical engineer. He continued working with the Highway Commission until he retired. In 1936 he married Mary Griffith and two children were born of this marriage, Judith b. 1938 and Timothy Havey b. 1941.
Farrell F. Havey died Feb. 3, 1970 at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana. from Donald G. Harvey October 29, 2013
