Stephanie Jo Swaim (Stover)

BRAZIL - Stephanie Jo Swaim, 45, of Brazil, died May 13, 2017, from injuries sustained in the tragic accident on I-70. She was born June 7, 1971, in Vigo County, the daughter of Steven Swaim Sr. and Rebecca Koch Adams. 
Following high school in Rockville, Stephanie continued her education with an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Ivy Tech. 
Stephanie worked for Normal Life, assisting residents in Brazil, and she truly enjoyed this position. She later worked for Integrity Title in Terre Haute, and was currently working at MCL as a server. She was the person who liked working in the public and enjoyed helping people. 
She was raised with a family of hunters and fisherman. She too was one that enjoyed being outdoors. She took pride in fishing, deer and turkey hunting. 
Over the past several months, she met Brian Lee and she began her walk of Christian Faith with Brian. They attended Free Life Community Church in Terre Haute and she told a friend that Wednesday was now her favorite day, because it was Bible Study evening with Brian. Stephanie has always been a dedicated Mom, Nana, sister and friend. She will be missed greatly. 
Her family left behind include her children, Billie McClain (Logan Cassidy), Dillion Joseph-Ray Swaim, Christian Stover, Carter Swaim and Leyla Swaim, all of Brazil; grandchildren, Waylon Cassidy, Coltyn Swaim, and William Cassidy; sister, Laura Lockwood; brother, Josh Swaim; sister-in-law, Jennifer Swaim Hawkins(Rich); stepdad, Ben Adams; stepmother, Carol Swaim; Grandma Mary Koch; aunts, Sally Elder and Mary Ann Isaacs (JR); uncle, John Koch (Gloria); nieces, Alexandra Swaim, Miya Sabla and Stormy Swaim; and nephew, Ethan Swaim; other extended family and the family of Brian Lee. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Adams; brother, Steve Swaim Jr.; Grandpa Joseph Koch; her boyfriend, Brian Lee and his son Aaron, who were also victims of the accident. 
Services will be Monday, May 22, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the Lawson-Miller Chapel, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., and again Monday prior to services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at Riddell Bank for Stephanie Swaim's Family.
