My mom was a jewel. She took great care of me as a child and, with dad, provided much guidance which was necessary to try to keep me near the straight and narrow as I grew up. I enjoyed my childhood and always had everything I needed, although not a lot of the things I wanted, like a '40 Ford Coupe with a small block Chevy or a new car of almost any sort. The things I had, though, love, safety, concern and life's essentials, far outweighed the things I didn't. She passed away before I felt her time should have been up.
