BRAZIL — William B. Hybarger, 78, of Brazil, passed away Aug. 20, 2014, at Cloverleaf Nursing Home, in Knightsville, Bill was born March 7, 1936, in Lebanon, the son of the Rev. Harry and Dorothy (Stewart) Hybarger. He graduated from Rockville High School with the class of 1954. Bill worked as a warehouse supervisor at Columbia House in Terre Haute and RCA in Indianapolis. He retired from PolyGram on the East Side of Indianapolis. Bill married Joy Pell on March 24, 1974; she preceded him in death March 5, 2014.  

He was a member of the Ebenezer Church and Masonic Lodge and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and Indiana Hoosiers. In his earlier years Bill was an avid golfer and loved sports.

In addition to his parents, the Rev. Harry and Dorothy Hybarger, and his wife, Joy Hybarger, Bill was preceded in death by a stepson, Dale Short; and three siblings, Jim Hybarger, Bob Hybarger and Betty Fisher; brother-in-law, Emory Fisher; and sister-in-law Becky Hybarger

He is survived by three stepsons, Rick Short of San Francisco, Jeff Short and wife Sue of Brazil, and Richard Lee Newport and wife Krisse of Auburn, Ala.; and a stepdaughter, Melodie Hayes and husband Doug of Harmony; grandchildren, Jeri Jo Zawadski and husband Frank, Shawn Short and wife Cathryn, Shanna Dine and husband Steve, Shane Short, Jason Hayes and wife Nicole, Ryan Hayes, Christopher Short, Justin Newport, Tyler Newport and Kelsey Newport; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Madison, Devon, Shelby, Kaylee, Liam and Miah; brothers-and-sisters-in-law Harry “Si” Pell and wife Janet, Jay Pell and wife Jo and Joan Hood; nieces and nephews, Mike, Ron, Connie and Patty; and extended family members.

Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Bill Price officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Saturday, from 11 a.m. until time of services. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
