Thelma Rose Anderson, 90, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Crawfordsville.
She was born February 7, 1936, in Rockville, Indiana, to the late Clem Purcell and Sadie Brown Purcell.
She retired after 30 years of service from Crawford Industries, where she worked in the finishing department, and had also been employed at RR Donnelley Company.
She is survived by two sons, Ivan Anderson and Merrill Anderson, both of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Ivy LaFoe of Crawfordsville; one brother, Norman Purcell; three sisters, Minnie Bennett, Carolyn Brewer, and Dixie Berrios; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lee, Marion, Raymond, and Paul Purcell; and three sisters, Lois Payton, Wilma Watkins, and infant sister, Elma Purcell.
She was a graduate of Rockville High School and enjoyed reading and playing games on her computer.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville with Pastor Randy Glenn officiating.
