Tom Barker

ROCKVILLE- Thomas Jay Barker, 74, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. He retired with 26 years of service from Rolls- Royce as a Tinsmith in 2013. He was born January 20, 1947 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Robert Barker and Norma Laufer Barker.  

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Sally Hopkins Barker whom he married September 24, 1966 in Rockville; also surviving, one son, Tom(Michele) Barker of Jamestown; one daughter, Traci (Troy) Maupin of Rockville; one brother, Ron (Connie) Tobin of Port Orange, Florida; four grandchildren, Jakob Barker of Indianapolis, Brandon Barker of Jamestown, Chelci (Michael) Mathas of Rockville and Leah Maupin of Rockville; three great-grandsons, Rhyse, Rogan, and Renik Mathas of Rockville. 
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Berty.  

He served with the Indiana Army National Guard. He was member of the Bridgeton Baptist Church. He loved God first and foremost and his family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. 

Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions if friends so desire may be made to the Bridgeton Baptist Church Youth Group, PO Box 24, Bridgeton, IN 47836.

  Sorry to hear this. Tom was a great guy, always fun to be around.
