December 14, 1920 - February 25, 2016

Thelma Margaret Gooch, age 95, of Plainfield, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016.

Born December 14, 1920 in Murdock, IL, she was the daughter of Roy and Myrtle (Bennett) Starwalt and a 1939 graduate of Bellmore High School. She married Dallas Gooch on June 29, 1947.

Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy (Douglas) Kaiser and Cindy (Gooch) Reussow; brothers, Kenneth (Wanda) Starwalt and Ervin Starwalt; sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Morgan and Carolyn Burrell; a sister-in-law, Jane Church; six grandchildren, Jason See, Julie (Aaron) Toombs, Cody (Aren) Flint, Nicholas Kaiser, Kayla Kaiser, and Joseph Kaiser; four great grandchildren, Ryan & Bradley See and Tanner & Brooklyn Toombs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dallas Gooch in 2010; a daughter, Carol See; her parents, a sister, Virginia Merriweather; brothers, Charles, Harold, and Darrell Starwalt.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
