Michael Eup

William Michael Eup, 52, resident of Palmetto, Florida and formerly of Rockville, passed away January 7, 2014 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Born April 22, 1961 in Clinton, he was the son of William D. and Marta Hopper Eup.

He was a 1979 Rockville High School graduate and received his Bachelor of Education Degree from Indiana State University in 1983. He taught for North Vermillion School Corporation before going to live in Florida. He was a member of Rockville Christian Church and very active playing softball in Florida. He also ran marathon events in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.  

Survivors include two sisters, Gloria (Tony) Walters of Montezuma and Lisa (Jeff) Kroge of Kansas City, Missouri; one niece, Belinda Anderson of Clinton; four nephews, Jim Walters of Jacksonville, Florida, Joshua Walters of Clinton, Logan Kroge and Jordon Kroge, both of Kansas City, Missouri; and one first cousin, Kevin Callans of Sarasota, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents; both paternal grandparents; and both maternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College Street, Rockville. Visitation will be 12 noon until time of service. Memorial donations in Michael’s memory may be made to Parke-Vermillion Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
