Emily Ayres (Wadworth)

Emily Ayres Wadsworth, 44, Indianapolis, and formerly of Rockville, died Wednesday in her residence.Mrs. Wadsworth was a teacher at Bainbridge and Brownsburg.Her memberships included United Methodist Church and Eastbrook Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a 1979 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1983 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor's of science in Education. She earned her master's in education from DePauw University in 1986.She was born May 31, 1961, at Clinton, to Lewis G. and Ruth Welch Ayres. She married Ted Wadsworth in 1986. He survives at Indianapolis.Also surviving are daughter Whitney Ayres Wadsworth, Indianapolis; son Marcus Alan Wadsworth, Indianapolis; and two brothers, William W. Ayres, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Thomas G. Ayres, Danville.Her parents are deceased.Graveside services are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, with the Rev. Jenny Charles officiating. Inurnment will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery. There will be no calling.Memorials may be made to Emily Ayres Education Assistance Fund, Rockville Elementary School, 406 E. Elm St., Rockville, IN, 47872.Barnes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Catherine Barnes (Overpeck) (1958)

EMILY WAS THE DAUGHTER OF LEWIS AYRES. THEY LIVED IN THE OLD HARGRAVE HOME. MRS. AYRES RE-DECORATED THE HOME AND LANDSCAPE AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. MRS. AYRES WAS A WELCH. HER NAME WAS RUTH. WHEN EMILY WAS A YOUNG GIRL SHE USED TO PLAY WITH MY DAUGHTER WHEN SHE WOULD COME TO ROCKVILLE AND STAY WITH MY MOTHER, MARY BARNES. THEY WERE GOOD FRIENDS.

Rhonda Busenbark (Webb) (1979)

Emily was my neighbor and my friend.   We used to play little kiddles and barbies.  One christmas our mom's ordered santa dolls with green stamps. Emily and I walked home from the grocery store with them. They were almost as big as us!    I still have mine.    Good times!
