Meg Adele Witty King, 29, of Coatesville, Indiana passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Putnam County Hospital. She was a Spanish teacher at Brownsburg High School.

Meg was born August 5, 1985 in Clinton, Indiana to Nancy Welch Witty and Jon R. Witty. She was legally married in December 2014 to Alex King. A formal wedding on November 21, 2015 was planned. 

Survivors include her husband Alex, mother Nancy, father Jon and his wife Julie, brother Dan Witty and his wife Shannon, nephew Hayes Witty, uncle David Welch and his wife Sarah, aunts Christine Welch Lindsey and Mary Ruth Welch Staadt and her husband Gary, aunt Brenda Witty Lee and her husband Denny, uncle Mike Witty and his wife Jaci, and several loving cousins who adored her. 

She was a 2004 graduate of Rockville High School and a 2008 graduate of Indiana University where she completed a double major of Spanish and Psychology. She also spent a semester abroad, studying in Argentina.

Visitation will be at Gooch Funeral Home in Rockville on Wednesday, April 8 from 3:00 to 8:00, and the service will also be there on Thursday, April 9 at 11:00 am with burial following in Memory Garden Cemetery. 

Memorials, should friends so desire, may be payable to the Parke County Community Foundation in Meg's honor, with the intention of establishing a scholarship for Indiana University bound seniors.
